Obviously, I can’t read a calendar

Posted on | October 1, 2009

Today is Thursday, October 1st, which means the posting engine posted the first Yowler story today.  For some reason, I was fixated on the idea that Friday was October 1st.  Ah, well, it’s really nice to see that the story engine worked as advertised (although there was a bug in the display handler for the index page, but that’s been fixed). Maybe I should put it up on Github.

Whaddya think of my idea for giving away all the backstory using a faux-Wikipedia look?  In case anyone’s curious.

Here’s the link: Black Tattoo.

The new story does not appear to be showing up on the “New Stories” RSS feed.

Personally, I’ve been eager to see the backstory for the Yowlerverse ever since you mentioned the possibility. A Wikipedia-like interface would be really neat. Heck, I’d even be happy with plain old text.

Hurray for more worlds to think about!

_This_ is why I read your stuff: a deceptively simple looking idea, worked out in excellent detail and dealing with any and all of its consequences — one of the hallmarks of good SF. I’m looking forward to more of this!

I just hope you’re not getting bored with the Pendor universe. Will we continue to see more Journal entries?

    Very neat.
Only a lot of dispense of belief needed, with the low population number they would not have survived the many times of religious wars going through this part of the world given that the average human compared to thought regarding different people, they would have been considerd daemons given there -known- reason to exist (made by an alchemist)
