I've not visited the "drizzle" site for some time. I nearly panicked when it was gone. It was difficult finding the "drizzle" site when "Halcyon" was gone. I had far less trouble finding you this time (yay for search engines). The Journal Entries opened my eyes in ways that I can not explain (and somewhat do not quiet understand myself). In the middle of the story, I established that the city is situated on top of the bones of a dead dragon, and it is from those bones that the city gets its power and its, um, flavor, I guess is the best word for it. What Aimee got was a sliver of that bone. Neither she nor Darynn is sure what can be done with it, but it is an artifact of immense power nonetheless. The hint here is that Darynn is approaching the end of his life and Rohani is desperate for someone to come over who can channel the city's wildings appropriately. The only person he knows who can do this other than Darynn is Aimee', and he hopes that his "gift" will both convince her and, in some way, seduce her into fulfilling that role. Hey, wilddragon!
